Quality Payment Program. Provides tools and resources to help clinicians give patients the best possible care. Clinicians can choose how to participate based on your practice size, specialty, location, or patient population.
There are 2 ways clinicians can choose to participate in the Quality Payment Program:
- Advanced Alternative Payment Models (APMs): If clinicians decide to take part in an Advanced APM, they may earn a Medicare incentive payment for sufficiently participating in an innovative payment model.
- The Merit-based Incentive Payment System (MIPS): If a MIPS eligible clinician, clinicians earn a performance-based payment adjustment through MIPS.
